The Centre for Urban Research and Education (CURE) is a multi-disciplinary network of researchers, primarily from Carleton University, who share an interest and commitment to strengthening municipal and urban affairs.

  1. Hintonburg/Mechanicsville: Reflecting and Reaching Resilience

The Centre for Urban Research and Education and the Centre for Voluntary Sector Research and Development (www.cvsrd.org) hosted a breakfast workshop on July 24, 2008 at the Causeway Work Centre to discuss the value and potential mechanisms for organizational collaboration to: support the City of Ottawa’s Neighbourhood Plan; and reflect on the role of resilience with respect to emergency preparedness.

The Centre for Urban Research and Education (CURE) network is creating and supporting an online resource centre to provide access to academic and practitioner papers, community/media articles, links and other resources relevant to our work. In the longer term, we hope to catalogue and provide search capacity for these resources.
